UNESCO evaluators Conducts Field Survey of the Northern Route of the Non nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark during their Revalidation Mission
UNESCO evaluators visited and assessed the Geopark education activities at Cao Bang Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School.
As part of the program, the evaluators visited and evaluated Geopark education activities at the Cao Bang Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding High School. At the school, members of the "Geopark Ambassador Club" presented the club's organizational structure and key activities designed to promote and popularize the Geopark knowledge in school. These included: promoting the Geopark’s values, engaging in discovery and field learning trips at heritage sites, studying Geopark-related documents and tourism routes, organizing games and knowledge quizzes on geology and local culture and history. The delegation visited the "Geopark Corner", an engaging educational space where students can access information, images, and documents on local geological, cultural, and ecological values in an attractive and easy-to-understand format.

The UNESCO delegation also conducted field assessments at several heritage sites, including the Fossil Lake, Nguom Boc Cave, Luong Noi brocade weaving workshop, the Pac Bo Special National Monument, Lung Luong ammonites, and Keo Yen panorama. In addition, they visited the product showroom of Ngan Ha Biotech Co., Ltd. in Cao Bang City to assess the role of Geopark partners in developing economy while conserving heritage.

At each site, the evaluators focused on assessing the management, protection, and utilization of infrastructure along the Non nuoc Cao Bang geopark experience route, such as: new check-in points, directoin panels, information panels, parking, environmental sanitation, landscape protection, conservation and promotion of local cultural values at community-based tourism sites, etc. In particular, at the Pac Bo Special National Monument (Ha Quang), the delegation planted a commemorative tree as a symbol of their commitment and responsibility to the conservation and sustainable development of the Geopark’s heritage.
Following the field survey, the evaluators will compile their observations, evaluate and propose recommendations for the development and management of Non nuoc Cao Bang Geopark.
On June 12, the evaluators continued their field mission to the Western route “Experience Phja Oac - The Mountain of Transformations.”
The UNESCO evaluators planted a commemorative tree at the Pac Bo Special National Monument (Ha Quang).
