The seminar was co-chaired by Mr. Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, and Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association; Mr. Be Thanh Tinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Cao Bang Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nong Thanh Tung, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization; Ms. Ha Nhat Le, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee; and Associate Professor Dr. Bui Chi Trung, Vice Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

The event was attended by Mr. Vu Hong Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang Province, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, representatives of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, leaders of provincial departments, agencies, mass organizations, commune and ward authorities, veteran journalists, scholars, leaders and staff of the Vietnam Press Museum, lecturers and students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), representatives of central and local media organizations, as well as a large number of armed forces personnel, youth union members, and members of the Cao Bang Journalists Association.

During the event, delegates and guests visited the exhibition space and experienced traditional newspaper printing using ink on printed pages. The exhibition featured valuable photographs, documents, and artefacts illustrating the establishment of Viet Nam Doc Lap Newspaper, its activities during the early years of the Revolution, and the 85-year development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press. Visitors also experienced a range of modern exhibition formats incorporating digital technologies, helping to enhance historical education and promote the heritage of Vietnamese journalism to the wider public, especially younger generations.
As part of the programme, delegates and guests learned about the origins of Viet Nam Doc Lap Newspaper, founded by Nguyen Ai Quoc (President Ho Chi Minh), whose first issue was published on 1 August 1941 at Pac Bo, Truong Ha Commune, Cao Bang Province. They also explored the formation and development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press and listened to presentations highlighting the significance and role of Viet Nam Doc Lap Newspaper in particular, and the Vietnamese press in general, from the revolutionary struggle and national liberation movement to the country's renewal and development in the new era.

The seminar was a significant political and cultural event dedicated to honouring the historical value of Viet Nam Doc Lap Newspaper. Through both the seminar and the special exhibition, the organizers aimed to reaffirm the newspaper's enduring legacy in the history of the Vietnamese nation and the Vietnamese revolutionary press, while contributing to the education of patriotism, revolutionary ideals, and inspiring future generations.
