Son lap semi-boarding primary and lower secondary school wins top prize at “Students Propose Initiatives to Elevate Cao Bang Tourism” contest
Attendees
included Nguyen Quoc Trung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who also served as
Head of the Organizing Committee, alongside leaders of the Department of
Education and Training and representatives from relevant agencies and units.
The
contest drew 30 teams from lower and upper secondary schools across the
province. In the semi-final round, each team was given up to five minutes to
present their ideas.
Presentations
focused on preserving and promoting cultural heritage values in tandem with
tourism development, while enhancing the use of digital technologies to promote
the province’s image. Many creative and practical ideas were showcased,
including “Pac Bo – A Green Heritage Site,” “AI Robot – Smart Tour Guide,” and
“Digital Heritage – The Pulse of Tradition.” Other proposals featured the
development of digital maps and multilingual interpretation systems at the Pac
Bo historical site, the application of QR codes and digital maps in destination
promotion, and the creation of “smart tourism village” models.
Notably,
many projects closely linked their proposals to leveraging the value of the Non
Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark, offering solutions to promote distinctive
tourism routes and destinations while enhancing visitor experiences through
digital technology and modern media products. These efforts aim to build a
friendly, sustainable destination image and contribute to local tourism
development. In addition, several products were designed bilingually, improving
accessibility for both domestic and international visitors and gradually
modernizing tourism promotion efforts in Cao Bang.

At
the close of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to
Son Lap Semi-Boarding Primary and Secondary School. Second prizes went to the
Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School and Vu Nong Secondary Semi-Boarding School. Third prizes
were presented to Quoc Dan Primary and Secondary School, Quang Uyen Secondary
School, and Quang Uyen High School. Several organizations and individuals were
also honored with additional awards.
