Creative imprints at the “Innovative Teaching Initiatives For Cao Bang Tourism Knowledge” contest for teachers
Attending
the program were Nguyen Quoc Trung, Member of the Provincial Party Committee
and Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the
Organizing Committee; Dam Thi Trung Thu, Deputy Director of the Department of
Education and Training and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee; along with
representatives from various departments, agencies, and related units.
In
the semi-final round, 24 teams presented numerous practical initiatives
focusing on innovating teaching methods in connection with preserving and
promoting traditional cultural values, developing tourism, and enhancing the
application of digital technology to promote the image and people of Cao Bang.
The
presentations were meticulously prepared, demonstrating creativity and strong
applicability, contributing to improving teaching quality while fostering a
love for the homeland among younger generations. Notable ideas included
developing lesson plans linked to Phia Thap incense village; promoting students
as “communication ambassadors” for tourism; leveraging cultural values through
historical comics and Luong Noi brocade; integrating digital technology into
experiential learning; and creating promotional products for spiritual tourism
at Sung Phuc Pagoda (Ha Lang).
At
the end of the semi-final round, the jury selected 10 out of 24 outstanding
teams to advance to the final round. In the finals, teams continued to compete
through a Q&A segment, demonstrating subject knowledge, pedagogical skills,
and situational handling abilities.
A
highlight of the program was the showcase of local cultural costumes, featuring
outfits rich in ethnic identity, creating a vibrant cultural space and leaving
a strong impression on the audience.
At
the conclusion of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize
to the Provincial Ethnic Minority Boarding School. Two second prizes went to
Hoa An High School and Hop Giang Secondary School, while three third prizes
were presented to Quang Uyen High School, Trung Khanh High School, and Cao
Thang Secondary School.
In
addition, the Organizing Committee presented 29 supplementary awards and
granted scholarships for presentation and digital skills training to
participating teams, with each school receiving 50 scholarships.
