Attending the ceremony were Mr. Be Thanh Tinh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Education, departments, agencies, armed forces; former leaders of the DoCST; meritorious artists; and leaders of several communes and wards.

At the event, the participants recalled the glorious history of the cultural sector, expressing gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of generations of officials, and employees in the field of culture, sports, and tourism.

Building on its 80-year tradition, under the leadership of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee, the Cao Bang DoCST has advised on the issuance of many plans, projects, and policies regarding heritage preservation, cultural development, sports, tourism, and grassroots information. Currently, the province has 271 historical and cultural relics and scenic spots. In 2024, 85% of households were recognized as “Cultural Families”; 95% of agencies, and enterprises achieved the “Cultural Standard”; over 80% of villages and residential groups were recognized as “Cultural Communities”; and more than 97% of residential areas were equipped with community houses. From 2015 to 2025, the province welcomed more than 12 million visitors, an increase of 285.6% compared to the previous period, with tourism revenue exceeding VND 6,301 billion, a growth of 1,402%.

In his remarks, Mr. Trinh Truong Huy, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, acknowledged the efforts and contributions of generations of officials, and employees in the cultural sector throughout the years. He urged the sector to continue promoting its glorious tradition, effectively implement the directives of the Central Government and the province on national development and the advancement of culture, sports, and tourism in the new era—the “era of national growth”. He suggested the effective implementation of the key program on tourism and service development for the period 2026–2030, promoting comprehensive digital transformation in the cultural sector, and fostering the growth of digital culture. He also called for mobilizing resources and the active participation of society in cultural activities, ensuring effective implementation of tasks in developing Cao Bang’s culture and human resources to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable development.

On this occasion, the DoCST awarded Certificates of Merit to 9 units and 8 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Cultural Sector (August 28, 1945 – August 28, 2025).
